Love Baseball?  Want to Help?
Welcome to Share The Glove!
Give the gift of baseball and make someone very happy

Updates & Activities
Thanks to recent news coverage about Share the Glove we were contacted by a group that is publishing a story about giving used baseball equipment a second life, to benefit under-privileged kids.

The story is really cool and has great illustrations.  Because it mirrors exactly what we’ve been doing, I agreed to help their cause by offering the book for sale on my Website.  For every book sold through the Share The Glove Website, $3 will be donated to Pitch In For Baseball, a non-profit group that shares our goal of helping under-privileged kids play baseball.

Check out the book and if you’d like to order a copy, please use code PIF 129 when ordering.  This will make sure that funds from the sale of books through our site go to Pitch In For Baseball.

Use this link to review the book and order a copy.

And thanks for your interest in Share the Glove!

What is Share The Glove?

Share the Glove started as a community service project, as part of my Confirmation program.

The idea is simple.  Ask people who have a used baseball mitt to donate it to allow less fortunate children to enjoy the game.

Find a Collection Site nearest you, drop off your old baseball mitt and we'll take it from there.

During our first season, 2007 to the Spring of 2008, we collected more than 70 baseball gloves, and lots of bats and balls. See the results.

Our experience was so positive that we plan to continue Share The Glove throughout high school. We plan to add more collection sites and expand the program so more kids can benefit.

When you Share The Glove you get to practice all the good things you believe in ... from helping people less fortunate, to supporting healthy recreation programs, to recycling good material so they can be used again.

Thanks for visiting our site.  Please visit us again soon!.
